Check the Tension (For Operable Shades Only)

Slowly push down on the top moving rail handle a few inches. Allow the fabric to stack
evenly, then stop. The top moving rail should remain steady and should not sag down.

Slowly push up on the bottom moving rail handle a few inches. Allow the fabric to stack
evenly, then stop. The bottom moving rail should remain steady and should not sag down.
■
■
If one or both of the moving rails sagged down instead of remaining steady, the tension
needs to be increased.
Adjust the Tension, If Necessary
Remove the bottom rail from the brackets.

Push the rail against the brackets to
release the rail from the latch, then lift
the rail out of the brackets.
■
■
Lift the bottom rail to locate the two pockets
on the underside of the rail.

Sidelight shades that are 4" to 7

Fully insert the

" Easy Adjust key into the
pocket. The key is fully inserted when the base
of the key abuts to the pocket.

Turn the key clockwise to increase the tension
or counter-clockwise to decrease the tension.
■
■
Begin by turning the key one-quarter turn, in
the same direction, for each pocket.
IMPORTANT:
The Easy Adjust key must
be fully inserted to avoid stripping the
mechanism. Do not pull down on the rail while
turning the key.

After pocket adjustments are made, remove
the key and install the bottom rail back into
the specialty brackets.
■
■
Recheck the tension on both moving rails.
■
■
If further adjustments are needed, repeat the
above steps.
