8.7.4 Brakes
The Pendel has different brake systems.
The motor brake:
This braking system is controlled by the electronics of the Pendel FD. If you let go of the
throttle, the motor brake will decelerate the Pendel automatically.
Hydraulic brakes (C):
The hydraulic brakes are activated by the brake lever on the rights side of the handlebar.
These brakes are mounted on the two rear wheels.
The mechanical brake (A):
The left brake lever on the handlebar is a mechanical brake which activates the brake in
the front wheel. This braking system is also activating the brake lights on the Pendel.
The parking brake (B):
The parking brake is a small lever, which is mounted on the handle bar. It is used is the
Pendel is parked. This braking system is also connected to the front wheel.

In some countries the parking brake is replaced by a automatic
parking brake system. This actives the parking brake automatically
after standing still. It is released when the throttle is activated.
