Connecting the laptop 

Connect your laptop to the modem: 

1.

 

Use an Ethernet cable to connect your laptop computer directly to the 

modem's LAN port, as shown in Figure 9. Do not connect the laptop to the 

modem through an Ethernet modem or switch.
