In the CLI-based management, you can log in to the MA5606T through the serial port or a
Telnet session to maintain and configure the MA5606T.

4.3 Management Through the EMS
The EMS communicates with the MA5606T through a network management port on the
MA5606T based on SNMP.
The N2000 of Huawei provides different network management solutions for Huawei
broadband access devices and integrated access devices.
The major functions of the N2000 include:

4.3.1 Running Environment
Server Hardware Configuration
A PC server or a UNIX workstation is used.
The EMS server to be used depends on the actual management requirement. For a medium or
a large EMS, a UNIX workstation is recommended.
