1.
XPIC installation applies only to the RTN 380H housing MXXI5.
2.
Cover unused ports with caps/PG covers.
Retain removed caps for future use.
3.
Before installing the RTN 380H, remove the protective cover and film on the antenna port. Otherwise, the signal transmission will be affected.
4.
Different methods can be used to change the polarization direction of antennas. If the method provided in this document is not suitable for the type of antenna you have, use the method provided in the installation manual delivered with your antennas.
5.
The polarization direction of antennas is vertical by default. If the planned polarization direction is horizontal, change the polarization direction to horizontal.
6.
If an antenna with a diameter of 0.2 m, 0.3 m or 0.6 m is used in a direct mount scenario, you may install the RTN 380H on the antenna and then hoist them both into position on the tower.
7.
Before installing a cable, bind the cable section that links the cable connector to the pole. This will protect the cable connector from damage. Be sure that the length of cable running from the binding point to the RTN 380H is sufficient to attach the cable connector to
the Ethernet service port on the RTN 380H.
8.
To facilitate installation, install cables from left to right.

Installation procedure
Connect the P&E cable to a PI.
7
8
Connect the hybrid coupler to an antenna.
5
Install an outdoor fiber.
9
• Install an outdoor fiber on the RTN 380H.
• Lay out the outdoor fiber.
•Attach a yellow outdoor label to the fiber according to the plan.
•Moistureproof the fiber.
Install XPIC cascade cables.
•Do anti-corrosion treatment for XPIC cascade cables.
The RTN 380H can receive power signals from
either the DC power port (PWR) or the P&E
port. Power over the P&E port is used as an
example.
