• Before powering on the equipment, ensure that: 
  - The RTN 900 has been powered on. 

  - The GE cable used for providing power over Ethernet has been installed. 
• Power on the equipment within 24 hours of unpacking. 
• During maintenance, the power-off time of the equipment must not be longer than 24 hours.

Powering On the RTN 310 Working with the RTN 900 

Powering On the RTN 310 Supplied by an Indoor PI 

• Before powering on the equipment, ensure that: 
  - The GE cable used for providing power over Ethernet 
and the PI power cable have been installed. 

  - The indoor PI works in PSE-PD mode. If the indoor PI is 
powered on and works in FORCE mode, disconnect the 
input power cable from the PI and push the power output 
switch of the PI to the PSE-PD side. 
• Power on the equipment within 24 hours of unpacking. 
• During maintenance, the power-off time of the equipment 
must not be longer than 24 hours. 

Caution 

NOTE 

In normal cases, the DC IN and P&E OUT indicators are 
steady green. For the indicator status description, see

PSE-PD 

Power Output Mode 

Before powering on the equipment, ensure that: 
•The P&E cable and the PI power cable are installed. 
•DIP switches are set correctly, and the DIP switch for setting the 
PoE mode for the used P&E port is turned to the PSE-PD side. 
After setting the DIP switches, switch off the power supply. After 
waiting for 6 seconds, switch on the power supply again. 
• Power on the equipment within 24 hours of unpacking. 
• During maintenance, the power-off time of the equipment 
cannot be longer than 24 hours. 

Caution 

NOTE 

In normal conditions, POWER and P&E OUT indicators are on 
(green). For a description of indicator states, see the PI 
installation guide.
