Installing the RTN 310
Install an outdoor fiber.
2. Hoist the outdoor fiber to the installation position.
Connect the connector labeled "To: RRU" on the
outdoor fiber to the GE(o)/COMBO port of the RTN
310.
3. Connect the outdoor fiber to the GE(o)/COMBO port of the
RTN 310.
Cable tie
Bind a cable tie to the end of the fiber to
prevent the waterproof socket from
sliding down.
After the PGND cable is installed, apply antirust
paint to the ground screw and ground point.
Connect the OT
terminal of the
PGND cable to the
ground screw of
the RTN 310.
Remove the antirust paint and
oxide layer at the ground point.
After the connection is
complete, waterproof and
rustproof the ground point.
Install the base of a
ground clip.

Install the PGND cable of the RTN 310.

1. Insert an SFP optical module into the GE(o)/COMBO
port of the RTN 310. The port provides mis-insertion
prevention function. If you feel resistance in inserting
the module, rotate it and insert it again.
Install a P&E cable.
Insert the connector until it clicks into place.
Install a GE cascade fiber.

3.1. Bind a cable tie to the end of the fiber to prevent

3.2. Route the fiber through the waterproof socket and
expose the LC/PC connector (for details, see the
appendix).
3.3. Connect the LC/PC connector labeled "To: RRU "
to the GE(o)/COMBO port of the RTN 310.
3.4. Secure the waterproof socket on the
GE(o)/COMBO port of the RTN 310.

4. Connect the LC/PC connector to the GE(o)/COMBO
port of the RTN 310.
5. Secure the waterproof socket on the GE(o)/COMBO
port of the RTN 310.
1. Unscrew the PG cover installed on the P&E port of the RTN
310 using a 1.8
N•m torque wrench (rotating the wrench
counterclockwise).
2. Attach a cable tie to the network cable to prevent the PG
cover from sliding down.
3/4. Route the network cable through the PG cover and
connect the cable to the P&E port of the RTN 310.
5/6. Insert a plug into the P&E port and screw the PG cover.

Install an XPIC cascade cable.
1. Insert an SFP optical module into the COMBO port of
the RTN 310. The port provides mis-insertion prevention
function. If you feel resistance in inserting the module,
rotate it and insert it again.
2. Install the waterproof socket on the COMBO port of the
RTN 310.
