Troubleshooting an Emergency Fault

3.3.1

Signal Reception Exception

This section describes how to perform an emergency maintenance for signal reception
exceptions.

Symptoms



The signal cannot be locked.



The Alarm indicator on the front panel blinks or turns steady on.



The video output is interrupted.

NOTE

Occurrence of any of the preceding situations will bring about a requirement of emergency maintenance.

Emergency Maintenance

Step 1

Check the connection between the signal source and IRD6000.



Satellite signal exception (applicable when the input source is the tuner)

−

Check the connection between the cable connector, LNB, and devices connecting the
LNB and IRD6000 (for example, amplifier and DiSEqc), or analyze the signal
source's status using a frequency spectrograph.

Check the signal amplitude in the menu to determine whether the exception is caused
by the antenna.

−

Check that the exception is not caused by damaged cables or loose connectors.
