Operation

               CAUTION!

Components and pipes in and connected to the set may be
hot. The EcoAdvance Instant is designed for usage with
district heating systems up to 900

C. The pipes and

components in the set as well as the pipes and components
outside of the set can reach these temperatures. Contact
may lead to burns.

The set is equipped with single wall plate heat exchangers. The heat exchanger transfers the heat from the heat
distribution system to the domestic hot water. The electronic regulator in the unit, together with electronic control
valve, temperature sensors and flow sensor regulates the temperature of the hot water to its setpoint 550

C.

The unit has two DHW keep hot modes: Eco mode (default) and Comfort mode. Default mode, -settings, -times and
-temperatures can be modified by the installer (during commissioning) using the special service software.

Eco mode

The Eco mode allows the heat exchanger to cool down after the last hot water draw off to conserve energy. It also
has the option of keeping the heat exchanger hot for a limited period of time after the last hot water draw off. This
provides more comfort in situations where regular hot water is needed within a certain period of time. The default
setting for the keep hot time after the last hot water draw off is 30 minutes. (default: Eco  - 30 min.)

Comfort mode

In Comfort mode the heat exchanger and the DH supply pipe are always kept warm for instant hot water delivery.
When switched in Comfort mode the unit only uses energy to compensate for the heat losses of the DH supply pipe
and the isolated unit.

Legionella prevention

To prevent legionella from growing, the heat exchanger can be heated* every 24 hours for 1 hour. Default setting is ON
(active).

*

NOTE

: for a correct thermal disinfection a District Heating supply temperature of 60°C is recommended. (minimal

requirement is 55°C).

               CAUTION! Hot water

The hot water temperature is regulated to approximately 550C. If there is a power outage during tapping conditions
the set will stop regulating the hot water temperature. This may lead to a hot water temperature that is higher or
lower than 550C. Hot water can cause burns.
