HP StorageWorks NAS 8000 Command Reference
Using the Command Line Interface
To access the NAS 8000 command line interface, you must first log in to the NAS server using
a serial connection or telnet.
First, connect to the system.
To connect using a serial connection, use a terminal emulator with the following settings:

Bits per second: 9600
■
Data bits: 8
■
Parity: None
■
Stop bits: 1
■
Flow control: None
To connect using telnet, enter the following command on a remote computer:
■
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
is the IP address of the HP NAS 8000 system.
To log in to the system:
■
Press enter until you see the system name and login prompt.
■
Log in as “admin”. No password is required until you set one using the command line
interface or the Command View NAS web interface.
