I hear no sound, or the
volume is too low.
The Windows Media Player and Windows Vista
may share certain audio device control settings. If
volume performance does not meet your
expectations, check the following settings:

Open Windows Media Player and verify that the
volume settings are not muted or turned down
too low.

Verify that the Windows system volume control
settings are not muted or turned down too low:

Double-click the volume control icon in the
Windows notification area, at the right of the
taskbar.
