Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (

2.
Remove the bottom cover (
).
3.
Remove the battery (
Remove the speakers:
1.
Detach the keyboard cable from the right speaker. (The keyboard cable is attached to the right speaker
with double-side adhesive.)
2.
Disconnect the right speaker cable (1) from the system board.
3.
Release the WWAN antenna cable from the retention channel (2) built into the right speaker.
4.
Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (3) that secure the right speaker to the computer.
5.
Remove the right speaker (4).
NOTE:
When removing the right speaker, make note of the location of the rubber isolators (5). The
absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded right speaker performance.
6.
Disconnect the left speaker cable (1) from the system board.
7.
Release the WWAN antenna cable from the retention channel (2) built into the left speaker.
8.
Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 3.5 screws (3) that secure the left speaker to the computer.
