4. Remove the Torx T8M2.5×9.0 screw

that secures the

optical drive to the notebook.

5. Insert a thin tool, such as an unbent paper clip

, into the

media tray release hole and release the media tray.

6. Use the media tray to slide the optical drive out of the

notebook

7. Remove the optical drive.

Removing the Optical Drive

Reverse the above procedure to install an optical drive.
