Identifying Battery Packs

The notebook supports up to 2 battery packs:

■

primary

battery pack

is an 8-cell lithium ion battery

pack that can be used only in the battery bay. One primary
battery pack is included with the notebook.

■

MultiBay

battery pack

is an optional 8-cell prismatic

lithium ion battery pack that can be used only in the
MultiBay.

For information about the lights and button on a MultiBay
battery pack, refer to “Monitoring the Charge in a Battery
Pack,” later in this section.
