Connecting an HP Remote 2C and HP Internet Router Module To a 100VG Network
If you have the following topology:
In the above topology, HP does not recommend configuring the HP Internet Router Module for
bridging. Instead configure the router to route IP, IPX, and Appletalk protocols. This is because
bridging forwards multicast and broadcast packets from the 100 Mbit/s network to the much slower
T1 or ISDN lines. This will overload the WAN link with traffic. In routing mode, the Router will not
forward multicast and broadcast packets off of the network.
Connecting Power using an RPS or AC Power

This product is supported by the HP J2962A Redundant Power Supply (RPS). If you
have this HP RPS, connect the RPS to the Remote 2C now.
