Core Switch 2/64 V4.1 Installation Guide

Interpreting LED Activity

System activity and status can be determined through the activity of the LED
indicators on the switch. There are three possible LED states:

■

No light

■

Steady light, in one of the following colors:

— Green

— Orange (also referred to as amber in related documentation)

— Yellow (appears when both green and orange LED elements are lit)

■

Flashing light (green, orange, or yellow)

The LEDs may flash green, yellow, or orange while the switch is booting or while
POST or other diagnostic tests are running. This is normal, and does not indicate a
problem unless the LEDs do not indicate that all components are operational after
boot process, POST, and any diagnostic tests are complete.
