System Model Types

D Class computers are assigned a specific model name, depending on the type of
processor and type of chassis. For example, a PA7100LC processor running at 75-MHz in
a D2xx chassis is called a Model D200.

The system model number is displayed on the front panel LCD during normal system
operation. The HP-UX command,

model

, will display the model string on the system

console. For example, a D200 system will display the model string, "9000/801/D200."
Table 1-6 shows all the D Class Enterprise Server models and their associated model
strings.
