Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the Battery (see

), and then remove the following components:

When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from
the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

Remove the system board:
1.
Release the ground tape
(1)
that secures the display panel cable to the system board.
2.
Release the ZIF connector
(2)
to which the display panel cable is attached, and then disconnect
the display panel cable from the system board.
