An Ad-hoc wireless LAN is a group of computers, each equipped with one wireless adapter, and
connected as an independent wireless LAN. Computers in a specifi c Ad-hoc wireless LAN must be
confi gured on the same radio channel. An Ad-hoc wireless LAN is available at a departmental scale
for a branch or SOHO operation.
