DEFAULT SETTINGS
Use this appendix to view the printer’s factory default settings.
Communications Settings
Serial Port
The printer must be connected to the PC through a serial port to view the settings:

From the printer Main Menu, select

Transmission speed in bits per second (bps) for the serial
port.

Number of bits that define a character or byte.

Specifies how the printer checks the integrity of the
transmitted data.

Stop Bits
Number of bits sent at the end of every character to allow the
receiving signal hardware to detect the end of a character
and to resynchronize with the character stream.

Hardware
Specifies if hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) is used to
manage the rate of data transmission between the device
and the host.
Disable
ENQ/ACK
Specifies if software flow control (ENQ/ACK) is used to
manage the rate of data transmission between the device
and the host.
Disable
XON/XOFF To
Specifies if software flow control (XON/XOFF) is used to
manage the rate of data transmission to the host.

XON/XOFF From
Specifies if software flow control (XON/XOFF) is used to
manage the rate of data transmission from the host.

New Line Character
Defines the characters that the printer echoes to the host to
indicate that it has moved to a new line.
