Monitored System
Refers to systems that communicate with the Honeywell
Customer Service Center via the telephone lines at your
home. The system disconnects your in-home telephones for
up to one minute while alarms are reported. Should you
accidentally activate an alarm while at home, call the
Customer Service Center immediately and give the operator
your special passcard number or code word to cancel
unintentional alarms.
ON WATCH
A selectable Security Mode that sounds a tone (or chime) to
alert you that a predetermined door or window has been
opened. The point name of the door or window that was
opened displays on the user keypad display for twenty
seconds. No alarms sound and no signal/message is sent to
the Customer Service Center.
Passcard Number
or Code Word
The number assigned to your system that identifies you to the
Customer Service Center as an authorized user. This number
is very important. You need it anytime you communicate by
telephone with the Customer Service Center to test your
system or to cancel an accidental alarm. Memorize this
number or code word and keep your passcard in a safe place.
Do not write it in this user’s guide.
Passcode Number
The number that you enter at the user keypad to disarm the
security portion of your system. The system prompts you for
your passcode number whenever you select a command or
mode that reduces the level of security. Each user can be
assigned any easy-to-remember four- to six-digit number for
this purpose. To maintain the integrity of your security do not
write any of these numbers in this user’s guide.
Pathway Lighting
On selecting a security mode that is designated as “away” at
the time of your system design, selected lights will come on
and automatically turn off after three minutes giving you
adequate time to exit. On returning home these same lights
will come on and stay on to safely light your way until they
are manually turned off. At time of installation certain lights
can be chosen to only come on after dusk.
Perimeter
Protection
Protected exterior doors and windows that, when armed,
form an electronic barrier to intruders. They can be armed
for personal protection when the home is occupied.
Pool Point
A point, when tripped, alarms if the system mode is AWAY,
and it sounds a warning tone at the keypad for 30 seconds if
the system mode is HOME. No message is reported to the
Custom Security Panel.
