GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Alarm Lighting
In the event of an alarm designated lights can come on and
stay on for an hour after the alarm bell has silenced or until
you turn the lights off.
Areas
The method of grouping points of protection for easier and
quicker access within the system.
Armed/Disarmed
Armed means the burglar alarm portion of your system has
been turned on.
Disarmed means the burglar alarm portion of your system
has been turned off. Whether the burglar alarm portion of
your system is armed or disarmed, your FIRE, POLICE, and
SPECIAL protection are active 24 hours a day.
Automatic Lighting
Modules
The automatic operation of lighting may be accomplished by
(1) replacing ordinary wall switches and wall power recep-
tacles with addressable versions or (2) by using plug-in
lamps modules that accept corded lamps and these lighting
modules are then inserted into standard wall receptacles.
Automatic Lighting
The system can automatically light your way as you leave or
return home, in the event of an alarm to gather attention or
light the evacuation path for your family and create a
random lived-in-look.
Bypass
A feature that allows individual points of protection to be
disabled so that any violation of that point is ignored.
Call List
The list of names that the Honeywell Customer Service
Center calls in the event an alarm is reported and after the
appropriate authorities have been dispatched. You provide
this list during installation and you can change it anytime
with written notification. It is very important to keep this list
up to date with current phone numbers and names. Each of
the people on the list should have keys to your home and be
able to disarm the alarm system.
Custom Security
Panel (CSP)
The master security component of your system. The
Honeywell 7000 Custom Security Panel (CSP) (control
panel) contains the power switch, standby battery, alarm
transmission equipment for remote monitoring, circuitry for
detecting alarms, and microcomputer that controls all
functions within the system.
