Mode Configuration Chart
Fill out the Mode Configuration Chart in the My System section of this Owner’s Guide
with the help of your installer or sales representative if you have chosen any custom
security modes and/or special protection modes. It will help you to remember the
security patterns you have determined for each mode.
Custom security modes and/or special protection modes can be set up to appear in any
numerical order you desire including intermixing custom and special protection modes.
Pool Protection
You have the option of providing an alert when someone has entered a pool area. For
example, you may have protection installed on a pool fence gate. When the gate is
opened, the point will activate an alert that depends on your home’s current security
mode.
When the system is in a disarmed mode or is in an armed mode to protect you while at
home, a pool point trip will give you an ON WATCH tone and display the point on the
keypad for 30 seconds. When the system is in an armed mode while you are away, a pool
point trip will ring the outside siren and display the point on the keypad for 30 seconds.
It is also an option to have a pool alarm report to the Customer Service Center, where
they will follow your pre-determined instructions.
Pool protection has been designed to meet the Uniform Building Code that requires a
pool alarm on areas that protect pools with physical walls and gates.
Latch Key
An optional service (Latch Key) is available that tells the system to call your pager and
let you know that a specific person has disarmed your system. This is most frequently
used to announce the arrival at home of children from school or other events. You can
have your system configured to provide a pager call when the system is disarmed. The
page will identify the user of a particular wireless key or passcode.
Latch Key lets you know that a particular family member is home and has turned the
system off. Only specific user passcodes will send the pager message. See the User
Chart on page 12.
