Installation
1.
Prior to installing make sure no metal objects are stuck to the magnet located in the door assembly.
2.
Place the door assembly into the back housing and tighten the two screws with 3.5 +/-0.2 in-lbs of torque.
3.
If this is a new door you will also need to re-apply the appropriate print on demand label that is located on the door. See
the labeling operation.
4.
Reinstall the handstrap.
OPERATION:
Bottom Housing
The bottom housing will need to be removed to access internal assemblies or if it needs to be replaced. The bottom housing
is secured with 10 screws.
NOTE Delta Airlines units with scanner option ‘L’ use a bottom housing released specifically for this configuration. The
docking connector in the Delta bottom housing has a higher corrosion resistant plating on the contacts. When repairing
Delta Airlines units use the correct bottom housing.
