IGNITION SYSTEM
FLYWHEEL/IGNITION COIL
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the following:
– Fan cover (page 8-2)
– Stop switch bracket (page 7-5)
– Carburetor (page 5-5)
– Control base (page 6-2)
• Route the engine wire harness and high-tension wire properly (page 2-6)
• After installation, check the ignition coil air gap (page 7-7)
STOP SWITCH WIRE
(With oil level switch and oil alert unit)
NUT (10 mm)
HIGH TENSION WIRE
RECOIL STARTER PULLEY
INSTALLATION:
Check for tears and damage
causing current leakage
before connection.
21.1 N·m (2.15 kgf·m, 15.5lbf·ft)
FAN COVER BOLT A
BOLT (5 x 20 mm)
FAN COVER BOLT B(2)
FLYWHEEL
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
Be sure that there is no washer
or other foreign material on the
magnets.
WOODRUFF KEY
INSTALLATION:
After installing the flywheel, check the key groove that
the key is set properly.
