Storage
Gasoline is flammable and explosive under certain conditions. Do
not smoke or allow flames or sparks near the equipment while
draining fuel.
CARBURETOR DRAIN SCREW
Before storing the unit for an extended period:
Be sure the storage area is free of excessive humidity and dust.
Drain the fuel:
Drain the fuel tank.
Turn the fuel valve to the OPEN position.
Loosen the carburetor drain screw to drain the fuel into a suitable
container.
After draining, tighten the carburetor drain screw and turn the fuel
valve to the OFF position.
Change the engine oil (see page 36).
Clean the air cleaner (see page 37).
Pull the starter grip until resistance is felt. At this point, the intake
and exhaust valves are closed and this will help to protect the
engine from internal corrosion.
Pull the choke konb to the CLOSE position.
Coat areas that may rust with a light film of oil. Cover the tiller and
store it on a level surface in a dust free area.
