SEDIMENT CUP CLEANING

The sediment cup prevents water that may be in the fuel tank from entering the 
carburetor. If the engine has not been run for a long time, the sediment cup 
should be cleaned.

1. Turn the engine switch to the OFF 

position.

Gasoline is highly flammable and 
explosive.

You can be burned or seriously injured 
when handling fuel.

• Stop the engine and let it cool before 

handling fuel.

• Keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Keep away from your vehicle.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
