Try to secure the items with rope
or cord so they will not shift while
you are driving.

down, tie down items that could be

crash or sudden stop. Also, keep
all luggage below the bottom of

could interfere with the proper
operation of the side curtain
airbags.
If you carry large items that
prevent you from closing the
tailgate, exhaust gas can enter the
passenger area. To avoid the

Do not place items on the tonneau
cover (if equipped), or stack
objects higher than the top of the
back seat. They could block your
view and be thrown about the
vehicle during a crash or sudden

If you can carry any items on a
roof rack, be sure the total weight
of the rack and the items does not
exceed the maximum allowable
weight. Please contact your dealer
for further information.
If you use an accessory roof rack,
the roof rack weight limit may be
lower. Refer to the information that
came with your roof rack.
Concerning means of lashing and
retaining devices offered on the
accessory market, please contact
your dealer.
Distribute luggage evenly on the
floor of the luggage area, placing
the heaviest items on the bottom
and as far forward as possible.
