Coolant Levels
Park the vehicle on level ground. Check the reserve tanks.
We recommend
Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2.

Checking the Engine Coolant Reserve Tank
If the coolant level is below the MIN
mark, have your vehicle inspected by
an authorized Honda Clarity Plug-In
Hybrid dealer.
Make sure the engine and radiator
are cool.
1. Check the amount of coolant in
the reserve tank.
2. If the coolant level is below the
MIN mark, inspect the cooling
system for leaks. only a properly
trained technician can refill the
coolant and check the system for
leaks.

If temperatures consistently below −31°F (−35°C) are expected, the coolant
mixture should be changed to a higher concentration. Consult an authorized
Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid dealer for more information.

Checking the Inverter Coolant Reserve Tank
1. Check the amount of coolant in the
reserve tank.
2. If the coolant level is below the
MIN mark, have your vehicle
serviced at an authorized Honda
Clarity Plug-In Hybrid dealer.

Pour the fluid slowly and carefully so you do not spill any. Immediately clean
any spills—they can damage components in the motor compartment.
