Rear Suspension Spring Pre-Load

Suspension

Servicing Your Honda

Pre-load should be adjusted when the engine is
cold because it is necessary to remove the
muffler.

An optional pin spanner is available for turning
the lock nut and adjusting nut to adjust spring
pre-load.

Remove the seat (page

Remove the right side cover (page

Remove the muffler by loosening the
muffler clamp bolt ( ) and removing the
lower ( ) and upper muffler bolts ( ). Pull
the muffler away from the exhaust pipe.
