Using the wrong oil f ilter may result in leaks
or premature engine damage.
Insert the dipstick and screw it in tightly.
Check for oil leaks.
Your motorcycle’s oil filter has very specific
performance requirements. Use a new genuine
Honda oil filter specified for your model or a
filter of equal quality. The engine contains a crankcase oil level check
bolt ( ). Remove the bolt and check that the
level is flush with the lower edge of the hole. If
it is, install and tighten the bolt, start the engine
and check the engine oil level. If the crankcase
oil level is low, add the recommended engine
oil before starting the engine to check the
engine oil level.
