IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
18.
WARNING:
Liquid or other food must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to
explode.
19. Utensils should be checked to ensure that they are suitable for use in microwave ovens.
20. When heating food in combustible materials such as plastic or paper containers, check the oven
frequently due to the possibility of ignition.
21. If smoke is observed, switch off or unplug the appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle
any flames.
22. Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling, therefore care has to be taken
when handling the container.
23.
Warning
– the contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars are to be stirred or shaken and the
temperature is to be checked before consumption, in order to avoid burns.
24.
Warning
– eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave
ovens since they may explode, even after microwave heating has ended;
25. Please clean the door seals, cavities and adjacent parts regularly and carefully (see Care and Main-
tenance).
26. The appliance is heavy. Please only move it when it is switched off and empty. Use both hands or ask
for help.
27. Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils or food in
the cavity when not in use.
28. Cooking utensils may become hot because of heat transferred from the heated food. Potholders may
be needed to handle the utensil.
29. Do not operate the oven when it is empty.
