3. General description
3.1. Application
Submersible drainage pumps are designed for pumping
dirty water like rain water or ground water with solid sizes.
Depending on the pump type they are used for laundries
or car washes, supply of industrial water, clear water or
drainage water. The pumps must not be used for pump-
ing of liquids containing great quantities of abrasive sol-
ids, like sand or stones. Before the pumping of chemically
aggressive liquids, the resistance of the pump materials
must be checked. The pumps are available in high quality
materials of all components (Stainless steel, bronze).
Use in sip operation is not permitted. According to the
type of installation, the machine must be submerged
in pumped liquid at least up to the top edge of the
pump or motor housing.
Maximum liquid temperature should be 90°C. Density of
pumped liquid max. 1100 kg/m3. pH-value of pumped liq-
uid 6 up to 11.
3.2. Types of use
The pumps are designed for operating mode S2 (short-
time operation) or S3 (intermittent). Please find the exact
data in the table in section 3.3.2 Motor.
3.3. Construction
The pump consists of the motor and the pump housing
as well as the impeller which belongs to it. All important
parts of the pump are characterized by generous dimen-
sioning.
