Use
6.1
General
Check the equipment for completeness and damage. Do not use the equipment if it is damaged; in that
case contact the Holmatro dealer.
6.2
Before use
Refer to Fig. 2 up to Fig 6.
•
Check the oil level in the pump. Refer to section 8.4.5.
•
Place the pump on a flat surface. When the pump can not be placed on a flat surface, make sure
that the oil filling cap (4) is the highest part of the hydraulic oil tank.
•
Connect the hydraulic hoses. Refer to chapter 5.2.
6.3
During use
Refer to Fig. 2 up to Fig 6.
•
Remove the pump rod lock (7).
•
Open the vent valve (3) (if applicable) and set the pressure relief valve (5) on the pump in the
"operation" position.
•
Move the pump rod up and down, by hand or foot (if applicable). This will produce a flow and/or
build up pressure during every downward movement (stroke). When operating a tool/cylinder, it will
respond with every stroke.
6.4
After use
6.4.1
Shut down and disconnect
Refer to Fig. 2 up to Fig 6.
•
Return the pump rod to a horizontal position and fasten it with the pump rod lock.
•
Set the pressure relief valve (5) on the pump in the "neutral" position.
•
Disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) from the tool and the pump. Refer to chapter 5.3.
6.4.2
Inspection
•
Check the pump for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the pump if it leaks or is
damaged and contact the Holmatro dealer.
•
Check the oil level and replenish to the maximum level, if necessary.
6.4.3
Cleaning and storage
•
Depressurize the equipment before storage.
•
Clean the pump and any accessories before storage.
•
Clean the couplers and dust caps. Make sure the dust caps are installed.
•
Dry the pump if it was used in wet conditions. Use additional preservatives (WD-40) on the external
steel parts.
•
Store the pump horizontally in a dry, well ventilated area.

Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use
of all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
