5.1
System operation
5.1.1
General
Oil is drawn under the pump plunger out the oil tank by moving the pump handle upwards and oil is
pressed into the hose system by moving the pump handle downwards.
In two-stage pumps a reversing valve ensures that the oil delivery is automatically reduced with
increasing pressure. Every pump is fitted with a safety valve, which limits the maximum pressure.
5.1.2
High-Flow couplers
The High-Flow coupler is a screw-on coupler used on a single or duo-hose system.
In case of duo hoses, the supply hose and the return hose are bundled together with ties. Each end of
both hoses has the same coupler: female and male couplers.
If you want to connect or disconnect a tool and/or a hose, you must first set the pressure relief valve on
the pump to the "neutral" position. After connecting the hose(s) and the tool you must set the pressure
relief valve to the "operation" position so you can use the tool.
5.1.3
Quick-lock couplers
The Quick-lock coupler is an auto-lock coupler used on a singler or duo-hose system. The couplers are
pushed into each other, lock automatically and can be secured by a retainer ring.
In case of duo hoses, the supply hose and the return hose are bundled together with ties. Each end of
the hose has a female and male coupler.
If you want to connect or disconnect a tool and/or a hose, you must first set the pressure relief valve on
the pump to the "neutral" position. After connecting the hose(s) and the tool you must set the pressure
relief valve to the "operation" position so you can use the tool.
5.1.4
Pressure relief valve
The pressure relief valve is on the body together with the hydraulic couplers.
•
The pressure relief valve must be in the "neutral" position when you connect and disconnect the
hydraulic hoses.
•
The pressure relief valve must be in the "operation" position, when you use the equipment.

Connect the High-Flow couplers
Refer to Fig. 7.
WARNING
Never use damaged couplers.
Caution
Never use pliers or similar to connect the hydraulic couplers.
