Stripe Hog Systems
CAUTION
NEVER BLAST WHEN STOPPED. DAMAGE TO ROAD
SURFACE WILL OCCUR IF BLASTING CONTINUES WHEN
THE STRIPE HOG IS BROUGHT TO A STOP.
2.8 Waterblast System
The ultra high waterblasting system consists of
a water storage tank, charge pump, ultra high
pressure (UHP) pump, high pressure hoses and
the Hog Head. Switches and the joystick in the
control panel located in the cab enable the op-
erator to control all aspects of the high pressure
blasting system from the cab of the truck.
Each manufacturer of the high pressure water-
blasting system components provides an informa-
tion and operating manual with its product. It is
extremely important that you read the manuals
and become familiar with the proper care and
operation of the components before operating the
waterblasting system.
WARNING
HIGH PRESSURE WATER FROM SPRAY JETS OR RUPTURED
HOSES CAN CAUSE SEVERE INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.
ALWAYS BE SURE WORK AREA IS CLEAR OF PEOPLE,
HANDS, FEET, ETC., BEFORE ENGAGING THE 40K CLUTCH/
HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH FOR THE STRIPE HOG.
Clean Water Tank
The clean water tank is mounted to the chassis
just forward of the debris tank and made of plastic
to reduce corrosion and provide a supply of clean,
fresh water to the charge pump. A site tube on
the side of the tank indicates the water level and
a valve on the passenger side, just below the
tank allows for quick draining. A hose and quick
connect coupler at the rear of the truck provides
a connection to an optional trailer mounted water
tank to provide additional water and dramatically
increase working time between refills. A three-
way valve in the intake hose allows the operator
to select to use the trailer tank, the main tank or
both tanks simultaneously. To avoid water supply
problems to the charge water and UHP pumps,
always make sure the valve is set to the desired
position before waterblasting operations begin.
