8.1 DESCALING
To remove the scale deposited inside the kettle and on the heating element,
prepare a water solution of spirit vinegar (1 part of vinegar per 2 parts of water).
Pour the solution into the kettle and heat. DO NOT boil! Leave the solution in the
kettle for approx. 1 hour, then pour away. Refll the kettle with fresh water and
boil. Pour out the water and remove the scale residues with a damp cloth. If the
scale is thick, descale more frequently. Do not descale with any chemicals for
descaling espresso/coffee machines or irons.
Caution! The frequency of descaling shall depend on the quality and type of
water. Descale if the heating element is covered with scale across 1/4 of the
surface area.
Caution! Do not use any strong chemicals, alkalis, abrasives or disinfectants:
otherwise the appliance housing may become damaged!
Caution! Do not immerse the appliance or its dock in water or other liquids.
Warning! Before cleaning and maintaining the appliance, turn off and
unplug it from the power source to prevent an electric shock and/or
burns.
8.1 GENERAL
Good and regular cleaning of the appliance ensures the safety of use and
prolongs the life of the product.
8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove dust with a dry cloth or brush.
2. Remove persistent dirt with a damp cloth or a mild detergent.
