REMOTE CONTROL HANDSET

Install the batteries
in the handset and replace the
battery cover when finished.

Turn on your TV.
Press the VCR1/2/TV select button to display
“TV”.
Press the PROG button.
“01 TV” appears in the display.
Press the SP/LP button.
“02 TV” appears in the display.
The TV code number is counted up every time the
SP/LP button is pressed.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
While this Hitachi handset is compatible with many television sets, it is possible that the handset will not
work with your TV set.
If your TV does not respond to any of the above steps, the handset cannot operate your TV.

This remote control handset is designed to operate 15 different types of TV. You must first programme
the handset to match the remote system of your TV.

If your TV does not change the channel, try “03 TV”, “04 TV” .......
“15 TV”.

After programming the TV code number,
press the PROG button
to
return to the normal remote display.
Point the handset towards the front of your TV, then
press one of the
~
buttons
.
If your TV changes channel, your TV can be controlled by this handset.
Press the PROG button to clear “01 TV” from the display. The buttons
on the handset shown on the next page will now control your TV.
If your TV channel number does not change, follow the next procedure.
