(3) Piston Bumper (B) [27], Gasket (A) [28] and related parts (See Fig. 13.)
Tools required
Hexagonal bar wrench (5 mm, 6 mm)
Roll pin puller (3 mm (0.118") dia.)
(a) Disassembly
Pull out the Roll Pin D3 x 45 [45] and remove the Guard (B) [44].
Pressing the Nail Feeder [75] against the Nose [32], remove the Nylock Bolt (W/Flange) M8 x 16 [35] and
the High Tension Bolt M6 x 18 [29] from Guard (A) [31] side (then Guard (A) [31] and the Spring Washer
[30] can be removed together).
Loosen the High Tension Bolt M6 x 18 [29] at the side where the Ribbon Spring [76] is mounted (but do not
remove the bolt until the magazine is removed). Pull the Magazine [82] backward to remove it.
Remove the four Nylock Hex. Socket Hd. Bolts M8 x 22 [33]. Then Piston Bumper (B) [27] and Gasket (A)
[28] can be removed together with the Nose [32] and pushing lever ass'y (Fig. 14).
(b) Reassembly
Disassembly procedures should be followed in the reverse order. Note the following points.
Plunger (B) Spring [73], Plunger (B) [74] and Washer M5 [72] are apt to be removed during disassembly.
Be sure to check that Plunger (B) Spring [73], Plunger (B) [74] and Washer M5 [72] are mounted without
fail during reassembly.
Press the Magazine [82] against the Nose [32] side to minimize the clearance between the Magazine [82]
and the Nose [32].
It is better to pull the Nail Feeder [75] backward then tighten the High Tension Bolt M6 x 18 [29] for smooth
movement of the Nail Feeder [75] when tightening the High Tension Bolt M6 x 18 [29] at the side where the
Ribbon Spring [76] is mounted again.
Mount the Roll Pin D3 x 45 [45] without fail.
