Replacing a failed node
Follow the instructions in this section to add nodes to increase storage capacity.

Step 1: Removing the failed node from the rack
•
1. Unplug the power cords from the node.
2. Unscrew the screws securing the chassis handles to the front of the rack.
3. Pull the chassis forward into the fully extended position.
4. Depress the locking tabs on both inner rails at the same time and pull the chassis
forward, freeing it from the rack.

Node and rail surfaces have
sharp edges or corners. Avoid touching or wear gloves.
WARNING! ESD sensitive.
Equipment is sensitive to electrostatic

precautions such as using a grounded wrist strap when touching or
handling the equipment.
WARNING! Electric shock hazard.
Failure to take appropriate
precautions such as not opening or touching hazardous areas of the
equipment and power receptacles could result in injury or death.
Caution: You need two people or a lift to perform this task, as each
node weighs 55 pounds.
