Increasing storage capacity by adding nodes
A rack is shipped with the two required 1U HSP switches preinstalled at the top of the rack
(rack unit 41 and 42) and from five to ten 2U HSP nodes preinstalled at the bottom of the
rack (starting in rack unit 1 and 2).
Follow the instructions in this section to add nodes to increase storage capacity.

Step 1: Installing the outer rails on the rack
•
1. Press upward on the locking tab at the rear end of the middle rail.
2. Push the middle rail back into the outer rail.
WARNING! Sharp edges or corners. Node and rail surfaces have
sharp edges or corners. Avoid touching or wear gloves.
WARNING! ESD sensitive. Equipment is sensitive to electrostatic
discharge (ESD) and could be damaged if you do not take appropriate
precautions such as using a grounded wrist strap when touching or
handling the equipment.
WARNING! Electric shock hazard. Failure to take appropriate
precautions such as not opening or touching hazardous areas of the
equipment and power receptacles could result in injury or death.
