Setting Limit to ESXi resource pool
When many VDI images are allocated under the VMware View environment in
a short period of time, the system RAM available for the Flash Drive may be
temporarily exhausted. The Flash Drive may stop running due to insufficient
RAM supplied by the system. You need to set Limit for Resource Allocation to
ESXi in the vShpere Client. See
find required memory for the Flash Drive.
•
How to calculate Limit for Resource Allocation
Conditions:
4.8-TB Flash Drive: One card is installed;
System memory: 256 GB;
Memory for Flash Drive: 12 GB
Limit for Resource Allocation:
System memory (256 GB) – Memory for Flash Drive (12 GB) = 244 GB
