A temperature protection control is
incorporated into the motor, which
protects the motor and the electonic
unit. If the antenna is very often
extended and retracted – e.g. by
misuse making game of it – the
temperature within the antenna
case could raise by more than 85 °C.
In this case, the max. possible cur-
rent is reduced by the antenna until
the temperature control is actuated
and the current on breaking is
approx. 300 mA. After a recovery
time (cooling-off stage) of about
1 minute the antenna will be fully
functioning again, i.e. it switches
on automatically.
Two car antenna tissues –
AUTA 135 – are enclosed with your
new antenna. Usually antennas are
exposed to very rugged environ-
mental conditions. Rain and dirt,
sand and ice can be hard, especially
on the telescope. From time to
time, wipe off recognizable particles
of dirt; for hard adhering dirt please
use the special car antenna tissue
AUTA 135.
Important: Finally dry the telescope
using a clean cloth, otherwise
some dirt could gather all the quick
to remaining oil.
