9.7 Discarding the Instrument

• When disposing of this instrument, remove

the lithium battery and dispose of battery
and instrument in accordance with local
regulations.

• To avoid electrocution, turn off the power

switch and disconnect the test lead before
removing the lithium battery.

Rear panel

Turn off the power to the
instrument and remove
the test leads.

Using a Phillips screw-
driver, remove the four
screws from the battery
cover on the rear side of
the instrument.

Remove the cable protrud-
ing from the battery
holder.

Remove the upper panel.

Use tweezers or a similar
tool to remove the lithium
battery from the lower
panel.
