18.1 netPLC CoDeSys Server Program
The netPLC CoDeSys server program is the link between the 3S gateway
(and herewith to the CoDeSys programming interface) on one side and the
device driver (cifX device driver) on the other to communicate finally with
the slot PLC via PCI. The 3S gateway may be installed on the same PC the
slot PLC is installed or on a remote machine. (connected via the local
Ethernet network).
18.1.1
Starting netPLC CoDeSys Server
The netPLC CoDeSys Server will be installed under Windows that it starts
automatically each time the PC is powered.
To start the server manually select
Start > All Programs > Hilscher
GmbH > netPLC CoDeSys Server
.
In case the netPLC CoDeSys Server Program is started and running you
will find the following icon in the system tray:
