Pull the strap all the way out .
Use the pin to lock the axle where the
strap was mounted.
Remove the pin.
Do not let go of the spring loaded
wheel, or the tension will release.
Hold the spring loaded wheel and
release the strap by removing the pin.
Push the emergency lowering handle
down and pull away the strap.
Pull out the rest of the strap an remove
the plastic housing.
