Defocus
Purpose
The image blur caused by defocus of the lens can be detected, and some certain actions can be
taken when the alarm is triggered.
Step 1
Go to Configuration > Event > Smart Event > Defocus.

Select Camera to configure.
Step 3
Optionally, check Save VCA Picture to save the captured pictures of VCA detection.
Step 4
Check Enable.
Step 5
Adjust Sensitivity. Sensitivity: Range [1-100]. The higher the value is, the more easily the
defocus image can trigger the alarm.
Step 6
Set the arming schedule. Refer to 6.4.3 Configure Arming Schedule.
Step 7
Set the linkage actions. Refer to 6.4.4 Configure Alarm Linkage Action.
Step 8
Click Apply.
Sudden Scene Change
Purpose
Scene change function detects the change of surveillance environment affected by the external
factors; such as the intentional rotation of the camera and some certain actions can be taken when
the alarm is triggered.
Step 1
Go to Configuration > Event > Smart Event > Audio Exception.
Step 2
Select Camera to configure.
