1. 1 Explanation of Terms
You will find the foliowing terms displayed in these safety
notes:
Danger: High Risk!
Failure to comply with this
warning can be fatal or may result in serious injury. lgnoring
the instructions displaying this warning can kill, seriously
injure and/ar damage the appliances.
!Attention: Medium Risk.
Failure to comply with this
warning may result injury or damage to property.
Note: Low Risk.
This information should be taken into
account when handling the appliance.
1.2 General Safety
Danger: High Risk!
• Only use the HH Simonsen® iron to style human hair
• Do not use it on artificial or animal hair
• Do not use the heating elements to dry objects
• The appliance must never be used in the bath, shower
or over a filled wash basin orether container containing
liquid
• The appliance should not be operated with wet hands.
• Do not immerse with wet hands
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or rinse under
running dripping wet hair. When connected to the power
supply, never leave the appliance unattended
• Check the mains voltage according to the voltage speci-
fied on the rating plate
Never switch on the appliance when:
• The appliance or the power lead is damaged
• The device has been dropped, shows visible damage or is
not functioning properly
• The appliance is damaged to such an extent that electri-
cal parts are exposed
• Whenever this is the case, disconnect immediately from
the power supply and contact the place of purchase
The product must be unplugged from the power supply
when:
• A defect occurs during operation
• You wish to clean the appliance
• The application power switch is in off position
• The appliance is not being used

• Electrical appliances should be kept away from children.
Children should not be allowed to use or play with the
appliance or the products packaging, e. g. Plastic wrap-
ping or films should also be kept out of reach of babies
and young children
• Arrange the power lead in a way that it will not cause
obstruction or can be tripped over
• Protect the power lead from damage. Never pull on the
power lead, hold the power plug when removing it from
the power socket
• Clean the product with a slightly dampened cloth (not
wet). Always disconnect the product from the power sup-
ply before cleaning and ensure the unit has cooled down
• Never use petrol spirits or other abrasive cleaning
substances
• To prevent possible overheating, never place towels or
similar such items over or under the appliance
• Do not use the appliance near combustible gases e.g. di-
rectly in the airflow of sprays, aerosols and styling foams
• Do not attempt to repair the product or connection cable
by yourself.
