(6) Connection to condensate discharge
The dehumidifiers of the DT series can connected up to a flexible
discharge pipe. In this case the tank has to be removed and the
drain nozzle enclosed is place on the right-hand side on the
condensate outlet in order to connect the hose. If possible
connect a silicone hose with a hose clamp of 3/4”. The hose can
be guided through a hole which is in the bottom of the device.
In order to deactivate the tank indicator, the microswitch for tank
generation has to be blocked. This can be done by means of an
adhesive tape or another suitable auxiliary means.
Alternatively a hose can be connected directly to the tank. For this purpose cut the hose connection at
the tank and push a suitable hose on to the connection. This can be closed again later with the plug
enclosed.
Caution: In case of hose operation, the unit does not switch off !
(7) Periodic maintenance
Cleaning the filter
The only maintenance work to be carried out periodically is cleaning the filter. Under normal
conditions, cleaning has to be carried out once a month. In dusty rooms it is necessary to clean the
filter twice or more. For cleaning, the filter is held underneath running water so that the filter is flushed
from the narrower to the wider side in the sense of air flow direction. After about six months the filter
should be replaced. Please note that the use of a clean filter may increase the effectiveness of the
dehumidifier very much.
