(3) Setting up the construction dryer
The construction dryer should be operated in a closed room in order to achieve its best performance.
Close all openings to other parts of the building, such as windows and doors, so that the humid air
cannot mix with the air in the areas to be dried. Open and close doors as far as possible. A so-called
closed drying chamber is produced. A number of units should be used to permit a triple air change.
Within the drying chamber, the air should be free to circulate. Open doors inside and employ air
blowers in order to achieve a good air circulation in all parts.
Set up the construction dryer in such a way that the air flow is not restricted by the inlet and outlet. Do
not set up near loose material, such as curtains.
Normally the construction dryer is set up in the middle of the room. In order to dry a certain point, the
construction dryer has to be set up in such a way that the air is directed on to the wet area and the
hot, dry air passes over. The opening should be at least one meter away from the wall.
HEYLO construction dryers heat the air which is drawn from the humidity. In smaller room, the
temperature may increase considerably. Room temperatures of between 20 deg. and 27 deg. C offer
good drying conditions as a rule. The room temperature should not exceed 38 deg. C and should not
go below 1 deg. C as otherwise the construction dryer no longer operates (cf. chapter (7): Fault
finding)
(4) Operation of the construction dryer
Operate the construction dryer in upright position
only
.
Connect the unit to a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage and 16 amps fuse.
Check operational readiness
Read the operating hour meter and document the count, if and when necessary
Read the kW/h meter and document the count, if and when necessary
(reset of the hours is not possible).
Check whether the condensate tank has been set in correctly.
To switch the unit only, press the Power button (1) on the rear side of the machine (display B is lit
green).
CAUTION
: The
flashing
display B indicates a break of up to 210 s (compressor delay).
After the delay time, the unit will start operating automatically.
